What it does
EASY Collects is the back-office for debt-collection agencies: portfolios are imported from the originating bank, debts are aged and triaged, and outreach (SMS, calls, visits) is logged against each account so a single collector can track 500 cases without dropping any.
Highlights
- Portfolio import + auto-triage drop a CSV from the bank; ageing rules + agent-assignment rules + initial outreach script all fire automatically.
- Workflow engine
new → contacted → promised → paidwith bank-mandated SLAs at each step. Powered by moffhub/flow, so configurable from admin. - Bulk SMS with link tracking outreach in batches of 1–5k, every link the debtor clicks lands as an event in the case timeline.
- Voice integration every call dialled through the platform records duration, outcome, and a link to the recording (where regulation allows).
- GPS-proof field visits the agent checks in/out at the debtor's address from their phone; supervisor sees the trail in real time.
- In-platform M-Pesa till debtors can pay via the platform's till, the receipt instantly clears the case in the back office.
- Compliance guard rails outreach limits, "do not call" hours, hard cap on contact frequency. Built around the bank's own compliance policy.
- Maker-checker for write-offs every write-off needs a manager + a compliance officer (moffhub/maker-checker).
How we built it
A workflow engine drives every case through its lifecycle. Bulk SMS is via moffhub/sms-handler with provider fallback (Advanta primary, Onfon backup). Field visits clock in/out from the agent's phone with GPS proof of attendance. Payments land via M-Pesa, bank push, or the agent's till.
Behind the scenes
- Agent productivity dashboards expose the funnel: contacts → promises → kept-promises → recoveries. Promise-broken patterns escalate.
- Voice + SMS + visit + payment events all feed one timeline per case no more "where in WhatsApp did we agree to that?"
- Audit-trail every change to a case status; bank auditors get a per-case export with the full event log.
What changed for the client
Recovery rates improved 18% in the first quarter against the legacy spreadsheet workflow. The shift from "every collector working their own list" to "centralised triage" was the bigger win better cases got worked sooner.
